Michael Beissenherz
Director of Testing Strategies
Michael Beissenherz has been with Drug Free Sport International (DFSI) for nearly a decade, and he transitioned to its Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU) division in June 2022. Beissenherz oversees the development and implementation of the strategic and operational components of the HIWU testing program, including the Anti-Doping and Medication Control test distribution plan.
Before moving to HIWU, Beissenherz spent three years as director of Professional Sports for DFSI. He developed and administered anti-doping programs for clients such as the National Basketball Association; NASCAR; PGA Tour; CrossFit; CONCACAF; and Olympic-level National Anti-Doping Organizations and International Sports Federations. He also served as a field trainer and auditor for sample collection personnel.
Beissenherz graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in business administration and economics.
