Kathryn Crouse, J.D.
Legal Specialist
Kathryn Crouse currently serves as a Legal Specialist with the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), where she supports the prosecution of cases under the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority’s Anti-Doping and Medication Control (ADMC) Program. In this role, she assists with legal and enforcement matters, including preparing case-related materials and identifying and monitoring compliance with applicable rules and requirements.
Prior to joining HIWU, Crouse worked in Olympic and Paralympic sport with both the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and USA Track & Field (USATF). At USADA, she served as a Paralegal for the Olympic and Paralympic programs, supporting matters within the organization’s results management program. At USATF, she served as Legal and Business Affairs Coordinator, where she supported the organization’s legal and business affairs functions and managed the USATF Athlete Representative Program.
Crouse previously served as Assistant Director of Compliance for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Athletics Department, where she assisted with oversight of the department’s NCAA compliance program. Earlier in her career, she served as a Corporate Paralegal with Fastenal Company, where she worked on matters involving corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Crouse earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She also holds a Master of Science in sports management from the United States Sports University and a Bachelor of Science in paralegal studies from Winona State University.
