Kathryn Crouse

Legal Specialist

Kathryn Crouse has been the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit’s (HIWU) legal specialist since October 2022. She provides support within HIWU’s legal group, including managing contracts and agreements, identifying and monitoring compliance, and assisting with the prosecution of cases as well as the administration of HIWU’s results management program.

Crouse was previously a paralegal for the Olympic and Paralympic programs for the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), where she assisted in the administration of USADA’s results management program. She was also legal and business affairs coordinator for USA Track & Field (USATF) and was responsible for the USATF athlete representative program.

As assistant director of compliance for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Athletics Department, Crouse assisted in the oversight of all compliance-related activities. Additionally, she investigated, prepared, and submitted National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) violation reports.

Crouse graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in paralegal studies and U.S. Sports Academy College with a Master of Science degree in sports management.
