Science Manager
Jennifer Brown joined the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit in November 2025 as the science manager. In this role, she serves as the primary daily point of contact, ensuring smooth communication and coordination with internal partners and external laboratories. She also supports the Science team by streamlining processes, tracking laboratory program requirements, and facilitating meeting scheduling and logistics.
Before HIWU, Brown was the healthcare services program manager at Drug Free Sport International, HIWU’s parent company. She developed standard operating procedures and work practices to streamline the department’s operations and successfully provided over 50 active contractors to meet client needs.
Her earlier experience includes roles as a project manager at Bellwyck Pharma Services and a clinical research coordinator at Midwest Clinical Research.
Brown graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and received a Master of Public Health degree from Kent State University.
